I decided that since we have a pretty busy weekend ahead of us (we have family and friends visiting again), that I would try and get some assignments done tonight. I am currently working on some goodies for Creative Xpress and for the new Provo Crafts Cricut commercial. Well I am working I am catching up on some shows (House wives of New Jersey, I LOVE Teresa Giudice lol, Drop dead diva, Project Runway and On the road with Austin and Santino. Watching Project runway has always been inspiring for me when I work on my designs, I also love watching America's next top model while I work, maybe it's the fashion and colors that intrigue me.
Here are some more things from flickr that are soooooo inspiring to me and get me in the mood to create with paper, glue and embellishments...
1. Remembrance of Golden Afternoons, 2. Crystal, 3. macro water play, 4. Nesting Season, 5. Hope..., 6. Lovely Lilacs..., 7. Old Scale and Eggs, 8. wind poetry, 9. Untitled, 10. Vintage flowers, 11. circle of roses 2, 12. Vintage Blue, 13. fun, 14. A Dedication, 15. Larimar
Beautiful right? There are so many talented photographers on Flickr. I just love spending time there (and etsy) looking at all the beautiful pictures.
I have about half of our family Beach "Santa Cruz" pictures edited and as soon as I finish (there were over 500 and I narrowed it down to downloading 200 to be edited lol. I won;t share all 200 of them, but I will share my favorites, so be on the lookout :)
Okay, I better get off of here and go get some work done before bed. We have mini golf in the morning with a few family members along with a birthday party for one of Austin's friends.
Nightie Night!

LRS August kit, my DT designs
First, I want to start off by saying, WELCOME to the new blog! I decided after 5 years of using the old blogger editor and all the HTML codes, it was time to switch over to their new and improved editor that makes things and "life" more easy :) You can still see the old blog here http://www.nikkihobbs.blogspot.com/, but I was able to export all my old posts over to this new blog where I will be posting for now on. So all the old posts are here too. I am still using the old banner I made and kinda sticking with the blue theme, but I added some pink in there too and this new blog now has a lighter background, which I am loving :) I still need to update some of the link lists and add more of my favorite site blinkies but the makeover is pretty much done! What do you think? I stayed up WAY to late last night working on it, but it was worth it! With this new blog I promise to get back to blogging more again too. :)
Okay, now on to the goodies :) I just finished up my LRS DT designs last weekend and now that the Design Team gallery is posted over on the site, I can share them with you. Because I have abandoned my blog for so long, I have a TON of layouts I need to upload and post on here as well, so keep an eye out for these! I also have a TON of pictures to share.
This month at LRS we featured the new Sassafras Lass line "Indie Girl". It was such a great kit to work with! Sara and Rachel really know how to pick the perfect embellishments to match each kit! I really love all my designs this month, thanks to the great products we got to use. Here is a look at the main kit, embellishment kit and the theme kit. I got the theme kit this month (You know how much I love Basic Grey), but have yet to use it, so stay tuned for some upcoming layouts/cards using it.
Here are my layouts and card I made using the main kit and the embellishment kit...
There they are :) I hope you like them! I had a good time sitting down and scrapbooking last week. It's been awhile since I have really sat down and enjoyed it where it did not feel like a chore. Okay well I better get going. I'll be back soon :) XOXO

Guest Designer for scrapbook steals
Hi everyone, Good Morning :)
I had the opportunity to be a guest designer for Scrapbook Steals this month, I was so honored they asked me to do this! If you don't know what Scrapbook Steals is, it's a site that gives great deals and discounts on scrapbook supplies daily (9:00am MST). There is a new "Steal" each day and most of the time they are 50% and up, off from regular price. You can sign up for their newsletter to get the daily deal reminders everyday, so you don't miss out on a great steal! I was sent an amazing kit, jammed packed with tons of scrapbooking product. I mean I have so much left over that I can easily do at least 6 more layouts and a few more cards with it!
Today's steal is the Lucy Bird kit by Imaginisce. This kit is perfect for so many themes! It has patterned paper, ribbon, stickers, 3D popouts, rubons, flowers, stamps and so MUCH more! I planned to use more of this kit on some Spring/Easter pages, it would be perfect!
I designed two layouts and two cards using this kit, that I would like to share with you now :)
Thank you so much to Kristy and Scrpbook Steals for giving me the opportunity to guest design for such a great company and work with an amazing kit! Go check them out! :)

A kit for Kate
Hi everyone! I have something I would like to share with you. I got an email notification a few weeks ago and inside, there was a post about this beautiful Digital kit and what it was for. I am not a digital scrapper, in fact in the 10 years I have been paper/layout scrapbooking I have only made ONE (yes one lol) digital layout thanks to the step by step help from my friend Melissa in I think it was 2005? I am however a collector of digital "paper" kits. I LOVE alot of the digital paper kits out there and like to print them off and use them on my paper layouts lol. I also love digital elements (like journaling things and labels) you can print. Anyways, so this email had this gorgeous almost shabby but clean...well a little distressed (just the way I like it) kit inside when the most beautiful colors together. It said it was A kit for Kate. So I clicked on the link and it took me here... Creativity By Crystal . Holy Moly Crystal has talent! This girl makes Digital paper (and kits) like no other! I seriously drooled some and secretly wished Crystal would come out with her own 'paper' company LOL.
Back to the kit for Kate...This kit was made by Crystal in honor of a little girl named Kate who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. You can read her story HERE.This kit is available to anyone who would like to donate to help the McRae family. All proceeds (minus PayPal expenses) will be donated to the McRae family. This is a HUGE kit with 22 papers & 25elements! You can also participate in CARDS FOR KATE if you'd like to send cards to Kate & her family. There is a $5 minimum on the kit, but you are welcome to donate more if you are able to, after all it is for Kate and her family. So if you go HERE you can purchase this kit.
If you are a digital scrapper and like kits, this would be a perfect kit for you, if you are not a digital scrapper (like me) then you can still get the kit and use it to print out the papers, labels, elements and use them on your paper layouts/cards etc.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. I have to say after playing around in PS with this kit a bit (yep you read that right lol, I decided to try my hand at it in PS lol)
I may just try a digital layout (my second ever) with it, and when I do, I will share it here. I forgot how easy it is to actually do and I rather enjoyed it yesterday. I also printed a couple of the papers out and plan to use them on some cards, so stay tuned :)
Well I better get off the computer for a while, my mother is coming over this morning to take Bella and I out Halloween costume shopping...FUN! :) I love this time of year! I do have a TON of pictures I need to get up on here of our camping trips and the boys soccer games. I also have a bunch of new layouts I want to share, including the one I did for last months Basic Grey newsletter. I will work on those posts this week :)

Silly blog....photobucket!
LOL, I know as of today the blog looks a little strange with all the missing pictures and the cute little message from photobucket. The email I just got from them says it should be restored by midnight tonight, so only one full day of this lol. I looked at my stats at photobucket, on why this happened and it says my profile picture at TwoPeas has had over 700 hits lol, WTHeck,? I think I am going to just remove the picture there that way I never reach photobuckets bandwidth error again. So stay tuned, after it is fixed tomorrow I have a few fun things to share with you.
