Christmas pictures (Picture heavy) :)

WOW! What a day! I was very tired when I woke up this morning, all three kiddos were up through out the night and it was hard to get Austin to go to bed, he wanted to see Santa. I played with both boys on the Santa site that tracks where Santa is. I was up until the early AM finishing up the gift wrapping, i even had to wake Dustin up around 1AM-ish to bring Aidan's bike in the house and set it up next to the tree. We ended up with Adriana in bed with us, so she was the first one up. Austin was up next and we all had to wake up Aidan. We laughed so hard because he forgot it was Christmas :) Aidan was the present giver this year, and gave Austin and Bella their gifts that were under the tree. It was a pretty good morning here at home. Austin loved his action figures, model airplane like his daddy, all the video games for the xbox and ps3, legos, Aidan loved all his Tball and baseball stuff, his new red bike, hot wheel cars and legos, and Miss Bella got a princess chair to watch all her Noggin and Nick JR shows in, Her very first cabbage patch kid (that mommy got her and it was 1 of 3 dolls she got and she loves it the most lol, seriously) and a bunch of clothes. After presents and Christmas goodies at home and of course a yummy breakfast we went over to Dustin's grandparents house for our gift exchange we do every year and some family visiting. His mom, Julia, his sister, grandparents, uncles and cousin's were there. Dustin's mom got him for the gift exchange this year, he got a Home depot GC and some clothes, One of his uncles got me and spoiled me with Book store GC's and one for starbucks :) I was a very happy girl ;) You know me I am such a book nerd ;) I got one of D's cousin's and went all over looking for the Bones season 3 DVD box set, three different borders and two B&N's and came up empty! I did find an AWESOME Borders I had not been to yet, this Borders is in downtown Palo Alto! They are housed in the beautifully converted Varsity Theater, it has preserved the beautiful architecture which includes the original Art Deco design, classic molding and authentic Spanish style courtyard complete with fountain, It was AMAZING! I could have totally gotten lost in there! It kinda reminded me of what the libaray would look like in the Harry Potter books. I only wish it was closer to where I live, I could totally use that place as a getaway lol. Next time I go I will take my camera and get some pictures. Anyways I ended up getting his cousin a Khols GC.

The kids had a great time there, Aidan was such a good boy, even with his hurt finger he picked up everyone's trash/wrapping papers for his greatgrandma. He had surgery on his finger two days before, he had gotten a paper cut at school and it got an infection in it so they had to remove a few layers of skin on the whole pinky finger, now he has to keep it covered at all times, poor guy, everyone has been so sick the last week, it's crazy!) This was also the FIRST year I got to cook our Christmas dinner (we usually go to MIL's) I loved it and so did the fam, finally a year where we could enjoy it here at our home. Anyways, I said this post was going to be Picture heavy and so it is :) I think there are like 40+ pictures. Enjoy :)

New books I finished...

After reading the hunger games, which I got for my birthday, I also picked up Wicked Lovely (see my post on Oct 17th) I flew through Wicked lovely too.

It started out fast, at first I was not sure how I felt about the writing, not that it was bad, it was just a little hard to follow, but after getting use to it, I fell in love, the story was fast and kept me addicted, I did not want to put this book down, I could totally see why it was on the bestseller list. It is another YA book, no vampires but there are faeries and humans and a bit of a love triangle :) Aislinn was awesome, Seth is HOT and I was not sure about Keenan at first, but grew to love him too :) I read this so fast I went out and bought the second book in this series, "Ink exchange"

This book was good, not as good as the first, but only because I could sense what was going to happen before it did. It was nice getting to know who Leslie was, I felt bad for her. I could have done without the drug use in the book and I HATE HATE HATE Leslies brother. I did find Irial sexy and hope he shows up in the third book of the series :) I can't wait for the third book that should be out in a few months, I am crossing fingers it ties up all the cliffhangers we were left with in the first and second book. Here is a peek at the third book...

Just as gorgeous as the first two! I am really liking the fey world, I got a little taste of it in The City of bones series and now this, I think I am hooked like I am on the vampire novels. Thanks YA lit for opening up my reading picks, I have a nice little collection of books to read now :)

My Husband...

So I was totally feeling like some Starbucks tonight. I told my hubby and he offered to go get me some. We have a Starbucks a couple blocks down from our home. I told him I was tired so a spiced latte and a blueberry muffin would be nice to sit down and eat/drink while I read my book and relaxed. So while I finished cooking dinner for everyone he went to Starbucks for me. When he got back I had his dinner ready and he set my starbucks cup and muffin on the kitchen bar. He then went to go get the kids ready for dinner. I went to grab my cup, I took a drink, set it down and went to reach for my muffin, when I noticed this...

Yep that's right, the cup says "Edward" on it. I smiled ear to ear when I saw this! This is my hubby's way of being funny. I can only imagine what his face looked like when he told the Starbucks clerk his name was Edward (for those of you new to my blog My hubby's name is Dustin). When he came back out of the room and saw my face he was grinning so big. I think I have made my hubby a little "Twilight" obsessed too. After all, we have seen the movie twice now :)

My CX Projects for October

We can finally post our October assignments for CX. My first assignment was to make a layout that was scrapliftable and where I used the new Cricut deep cutting blade and housing. I used the deep cutting blade with some paper chipboard (you know the kind of thick chipboard sheets you get in paper orders you place online? I used it on the title (with the Cricut Graphically speaking cart) and the snowflakes, I then added spray adhesive to it and sugar coating glitter from doodlebug design. This was a fun layout to make and hope it's easy enough to scraplift. You can find it and the tutorial on how to re-create it and what you need at CX.

As for the second assignment, I had to make a Boy/Girl Birthday invite card set. I love using the cuttlebug (also from Provo crafts) and the swiss dots folder and thought it worked great on these cards. I also had to use the Cuttlekids dies (flowers/Dinos). I hope you like them :)
