I just got the okay that I could post these assignments so I uploaded to my CX gallery and now to my blog. I was so thrilled to get these assignments. First I got to use the amazing new "Ambrosia" line from Basic Grey ( One of my favorite companies, along side my addiction to October Afternoon and Chatterbox lol). The colors in this new line are amazing, they just pop out at you and they really can be used for just about any theme. I also got to use the BRAND NEW Blackletter cartridge by Cricut (Provo Craft). It's one of their new solutions carts and at first I was a little nervous about this cart. I kept thinking, WHAT on earth am I going to use an old English type of font on, but let me tell you, this has got to be one of my FAVORITE font carts right now. I am now addicted to it and will totally need to add one of those bad boys to my personal cricut cart collection. I was sad to have to send the borrowed cart back to CX lol. It has that great font PLUS a bunch of amazing images on it. I also got the chance to use my Design Studio software on my layout. After getting the hang of it, I had so much fun working with it and made the scalloped flower bordered background on my layout with it and the Accent Essentials and George and basic shapes carts. I can see me using the DS so much in the near future. Anyways enough about my small additcions (LOL) to all things cricut and basic Grey and on to the pictures....right :)
well I have another post to make about today (Halloween) which I will make as soon as I finish uploading the pictures I took today and tonight :)
You are observant, diplomatic and often aim to please. You are unaware of your attractiveness and despite being uncomfortable with any form of attention, people enjoy your company. You can be impatient, stubborn and headstrong, but you are true to your word and mature for your age, often taking care of your family and enjoying a good book over chatting with girlfriends on the phone.
I am Edward (I thought this was strange, I thought I would be Emette)
You are talented, knowledgeable and people are drawn to you. You like a good challenge and enjoy the company of a select few, but this is because you are picky and can be set in your ways. Sometimes you over react when things don’t go well, but your intentions aregood and you’re priority is protecting the ones that you love.
Oh my gosh, This show is one of my favorites! About a month and a half ago I was sitting in our bedroom, working my way through a HUGE pile of laundry, folding, hanging and I was channel surfing. I landed on Lifetime movie network. There was a marathon on of this show and after watching the first one, I was hooked! I love this group of gals (and guy lol), Roxy is a hoot, and Trevor is so sweet, they are my favorite couple on the show. If you have a bit of free time Go rent the first season, sadly the second season comes to an end this Sunday, I can't wait to see how the season ends but am sad it's almost over. Okay quick go watch it ;)
And the stack is growing, every time he does good in school and he will be getting more for Christmas :)When I was a pre-teen one of my most favorite authors was R.L. Stine (I loved reading spooky things, I was reading some Stephen King at 11 lol, I even wrote a hardcover book in 8th grade about a murder mystery (think Friday the 13th, watered down lol, yep it was a campy horror thriller, who done it). I also remember a story I started in high school, about a young girl (teens) having to say goodbye to her childhood home in a big city and best friend, only to move into a new small town, where horrible things were happening to the teenagers there, it was a who done it. I loved spooky, Scary stories (I also liked adventures) When I did good in school, my dad would take me to an awesome hole in the wall book store in the old town and country mall (now known as Santana row) (I tried to google for the name of the book store but nothing came up, maybe my dad remembers), it was an awesome store though, stocked full of R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike books. I always loved CAMP book too lol,I know I blogged about that here a couple years ago) camp boos were fun and reminded me of summer camp at the YMCA when I was younger.
Anyways, the point of my post was, :) Austin, is now a HUGE R.L. Stine fan, He is addicted to the Goosebumps series. This series is nothing like the spooky Fear Street series I read from him when I was younger (Fear Street was more teenage themed, Goosebumps is more grade school kids). Goosebumps is fun for both Austin and I. We always have reading time together but we both really enjoy these stories. I read them to him and he reads them to me. They are good stories for his age range. He likes spooky, he loves that show "Truth or scare" on the Discovery kids channel. He also LOVES the goosebumps movies (we own a couple, yep we have seen the haunted mask a million and one times lol). I am so excited he found a series he likes to read, he's just like his mama :)
It is always an adventure when we take all three kiddos out with us, but it is ALWAYS tough when it's the library lol. We do tend to get a few stares lol towards the end of the visit when the kids start getting restless. I always go prepared ahead of time, I get all the log info and book call numbers online before we go so it can be and in and out visit, but it's one of my favorite places ever (you know how much I LOVE books lol), I could spend hours there, well I tend to get distracted by all the lovely books lol. This time I went with the intention of getting three books, well I left with this...
LOL, I could not help myself, there were so many to chose from and so many I let behind for another day :) Notice the subject of the books :) It's always been a dream of mine, ever since I was younger. I used to write short stories all the time :)
Yesterday we went out to get Bella's costume, we made it a family affair lol. We headed over to BabiesRus because about a month or so ago I saw a super cute witch costume that I wanted for her. Well when we got there we only saw two left and they were 2t and 4t, which is WAY to big for her, she is almost 17 months and can still fit into some 3-6 months lol. So Dustin said we should look at the Halloween Spirit store.
The boys loved this store right away! Austin and Aidan would not stop playing with the dry ice bubble maker, it was so cool, they looked like real bubbles only when they popped they made smoke, very cool! The store was really picked through, I went straight over to the baby/toddler section and there was maybe four costumes left but only ONE 12 month (pretty much here size, nwhen we took it out). It was a very cute flower fairy costume. I think it was perfect and she can even play in it long after Haloween if she wants :) It was missing the headband that comes with it so we got a wand that matches the costume pretty much free. When I get some pictures of her in it, I will post them :)
The boys were pretty good in the store, once Aidan knocked over one of the HUGE inflatable scary creatures they had near the bubble machine, thankfully it was easy to put back up lol and not breakable. Here are a few pictures of her costume...
WOW Today's games were fabulous! Both boys did so good! Aidan's team won today and he scored two points for his team. He really is getting so good at Soccer. Because the boys games were 30 minutes apart we got to Austin's game at the end, but I was able to shoot a couple pictures, Austin amazed me today too, he is getting so good himself, not so afraid to go after the ball now. Here are a couple pictures from today's games...
Aidan played against the Green Dragons and Austin played against the Orange Dragons lol (Aidan's team is the blue sharks and Austin's is the Blue Dragons.)
This is a cake I found with google lol, I did not get a birthday cake this year. Look how cool that cake is, It's from a place in NJ called www.pinkcakebox.com So pretty, I wonder if cake with Fondant actually tastes good? Does it have flavor? I am a buttercream girl myself lol.
Today was a great day. We all got up pretty early. Both boys had a fieldtrip with school (Austin-Library, park and Aidan- pumpkin store) and they got off early. My mom was suppose to come over again but she did not feel well. Aidan handmade me this sweet little card, it was so cute. After Dustin got home he took Austin to his Soccer practice, while they were gone I got ready for dinner with Dustin. We took all three kiddos to my MIL's house and went off to eat at Chevy's. After he took me to Barnes and Nobles where he bought me a book and I got Austin another Goosebumps book. I got a few goodies for my birthday from family and friends. They all know me so well :) (I got the Outlander series from my folks along with a GC to Barnes and Noble, Another book GC to borders from my MIL along with two movie passes for Dustin and I) I am such a book nerd and I got some amazing books and GC's to book stores. I LOVE THAT! :) Can you believe that Dustin's boss slipped him a $100 to take me out to dinner, his treat, how awesome is that? It was a pretty good day. I can't believe I am not in my 20's anymore :) Hello 30's ;)
Here are two more amazing Cakes from Pinkcakebox, these are so awesome! I love the Fall one, It's my favorite season. :)
I saw this video on my Friend Jen's blog and knew I had to post it in mine too. This will be the first year that I register to vote, yeah I know I know, what took me so long, right? Well I am doing something about it now...
Soooooo I was just checking out the Chatterbox blog (which I do everyday) and saw a new post by Courtney saying to go checkout Melody's blog (which I also do everyday), and I found this awesome Chatterbox Christmas kit and a giveaway going on there. We do not have a Sam's club here (Only costco) so I am going to have to figure out a way to get myself one of these kit's (as you all know I am NUTS for CBX and actually have EVERY (I think) CBX kit they made (yep I own all the Michaels and CraftWarehouse kits lol). Anyways, I thought one way might be to win (1 in a million chance lol I never win these things) a kit with this giveaway. The idea of it is to go right on over to Melody's blog (HERE) and leave your name in the comments with my name too (saying I sent you over there) and then post about the giveaway on your blog. Easy cheese-y right? So come on girls lets try and win us one of these awesome kits... Here are just a few of the pictures from Melody's blog, you can see a ton more when you head on over there :)...
See told you it was awesome, there are 600 pieces in this kit, so come on ladies lets try to win us one ;)
We have a pretty busy weekend, LOTS of Soccer (three days) I will post some pictures probably tonight and then of course from this weekends game and soccer carnival. I hope you all have a great weekend!
It has been a bit rainy the last couple days and even though it was rainy the boys soccer games still went on. The boys stayed the night at Grandma's because they took them to a pumpkin patch and company party. So we met with them at the game. Aidan's started very early, he also had a 30 practice clinic with Coach Andrews (he is a pro), he had alot of fun. He did sooooo good, he scored two goals and the Blue Sharks won over the red lava's :) He was so excited! He really is getting so good at Soccer, we are very proud of him!
Austin did good on his game too, they played against Liberty Blue (it's a French team with amazing players!).
